Finding a School for the 2016-17 School Year

If you're looking for a school for the upcoming school year, there are still a few options.

Apply to a public charter school. Charter schools are free, public school options that have no academic requirements to apply. Some may require you live within their neighborhood boundaries, but many admit students from across the city. While many application deadlines have passed, there are still options. See a complete list of application deadlines.

Apply to a public district school. There may be additional space available at individual schools. Families should go to schoolselect.philasd.org for more information.

Apply to a private school. Some private schools in Philadelphia still have need-based financial aid money available and many are still accepting applications. Private schools in Philadelphia include a huge range of options-- from the well-known Catholic schools to many smaller, more distinct offerings. See a list of private schools and links to financial aid.

Schools with Available Space

Additionally, while schools' deadlines may have already passed, they still might have available space in specific grade levels. Learn more about their programs below.

As a result, teachers are able to differentiate to a degree that has never been possible before.

The blended learning program represents a massive investment in the technological infrastructure of DePaul Catholic. Since 2013, more than $750,000 in grants and philanthropic funding have helped create this program. The school is happy to say that their academic results have exceeded their expectations.
