Deadline Extended for District High Schools and Transfers

The School District of Philadelphia has extended the deadline for students to apply to a district citywide or special admission high school, or transfer to a district neighborhood school. The new application deadline is November 30, 2012.

Students entering high school in fall 2013 must submit this application to attend any of the School District’s citywide or special admission high schools. The citywide schools are open to any student living in Philadelphia, but special admission schools have additional requirements. Learn more about Choosing a Public High School.

Students in grades 9-12 may submit the same application to transfer to a different district high school. Learn more about How to Transfer to a Public District High School.

This new November 30 deadline also applies to the Voluntary Transfer Application. Students in grades K-7 can apply to transfer to a district neighborhood school outside of your designated neighborhood. Learn more about transferring neighborhood schools here.
