Our Mother of Consolation Parish School is a Catholic elementary school (Pre K through Eighth Grade) serving families in Chestnut Hill and the surrounding areas in Northwest Philadelphia and nearby suburbs. With equal focus on Catholic Values and Academic Excellence, OMC is a strong, vibrant, and thriving school characterized by small class sizes, exceptional parent volunteerism, rich and balanced diversity, superb administration and faculty, and a genuinely warm and friendly family atmosphere. Our Mother of Consolation Parish School is dedicated to the mission of educating the children of parishioners as well as others who entrust their children to our care. As an institution of Catholic education, our purpose is to teach Catholic values and to contribute to the formation of educated Christian persons who live and proclaim the message of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through a fully integrated curriculum, a qualified faculty is committed to the teaching of Catholic values that fosters the intellectual, moral and spiritual potential of students. By maintaining a strong identity as a parish school, we create a faith filled academic community that promotes mutual respect and social responsibility.

Our Code of Courtesy reinforces teaching the whole child how to be a responsible and caring person in addition to a good student. Our students are able to attend and to succeed at any of the numerous private, archdiocesan and public schools that they choose to attend. A partial list of those schools include: Mount S. Joseph’s Academy, Merion Mercy Academy, LaSalle College High School, St. Joseph’s Prep, Bishop McDevitt High School, Archbishop Carroll High School, Roman Catholic High School, Hallahan High School, Friends Central, Penn Charter High School, Central High School, and Girls High School, among others. OMC has been a Blue Ribbon Winner in Reading Olympics for the past 5 years; full-time Reading and Math support offered; Athletic Teams consistently reach playoffs and post-season tournaments; extensive list of extracurricular activities for all grade levels; partner with local businesses such as Weaver’s Way Co-op to offer nutritional snacks and a business education. Our students also partner with our parish to provide service opportunities in the community-at-large. Now in our 150^th year serving Chestnut Hill and surrounding neighborhoods, OMC is proud of all it has been able to accomplish. For more information, to look at a calendar of events, and to see our school video, see our Web site at school.omcparish.com or our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/OMCParishSchool.
