Open Seats for the Upcoming 2018-19 School Year

  • mastery gratz high school teacher working with students
If you haven’t found the right fit for your student, you may still have some options.

Apply to a public district school. At this time of year, there is often additional space available at district schools across the city. In order to find out more information about district schools with open seats, families should visit the School District website. A list of neighborhood elementary and middle schools with available seats for Fall 2018 can be found here.

If information about open seats in district schools becomes available to GPS, we will update this page accordingly. Check back here for regular updates.

Apply to a public charter school. While most application deadlines have passed, there are still schools with space remaining, which we have listed below. See a complete list of application deadlines for charter schools.

Apply to a private school. Some private schools in Philadelphia still have need-based financial aid money available and many are still accepting applications, which we have also listed below. See a list of private schools and links to financial aid.

Private and Charter Schools with Available Space

We will be frequently updating this page. Check back regularly for more information on schools with open seats. Does your school have space available? Fill out this survey if you would like to be added to the list!

Following this interview, records will be reviewed by the admissions committee. Each applicant will be invited to spend a day at Crefeld to get a feel for what it is like to be a student at our school. During this visit, the applicant will shadow a current student. The applicant will participate as fully as possible in all of the day's activities. Our application process is designed to help us determine whether Crefeld will be the right place for each child. Sometimes this takes three to four weeks. In rare circumstances, it can take longer. We do our best to make it as easy on the families as possible.
