If you’re still looking to enroll for the 2022-23 school year, there are various District, Charter, and private school options. Use the list below to find out which schools have open seats. We encourage you to verify seat availability with the school itself.
District Schools:
- Students are given preference at your designated neighborhood school. Contact the Office of Student Placement and Enrollment for more information.
- Find more information to register for Kindergarten.
- Other schools outside of your catchment school may have space. Call the school directly for more information. Apply through the School Selection Process in September for admission the following year. The application closes in November.

Charter Schools:
- Families can submit current year applications to schools participating in Apply Philly Charter (APC). If space is not available, your student will be waitlisted.
- Charter schools not participating in APC have their own applications and deadlines. For information on all charter schools, see: Understanding Philadelphia Charter Schools.
- If your designated neighborhood school is a Renaissance charter school, you must still submit an application through Apply Philly Charter Then the school will contact you to enroll if space is available.
