Here are some online learning resources to support learning at-home:

Resources for Philadelphia School Students

The City of Philadelphia: The city announced the launch of PHLConnectED, a fund to connect K-12 student households to no-cost internet service. The program provides eligible student households up to two years of high-speed internet. Participants do not pay any out-of-pocket expenses or installation fees. At PHLConnectEd learn about eligibility requirements and how to get online now.

Comcast Internet Essentials: Comcast’s Internet Essentials remains available. Sign up at www.internetessentials.com or call 1-855-846-8376 for English and 1-855-765-6995 for Spanish.

Resources for All Students

ASAP/After School Activities Partnerships: Access all the activities and resources at ASAP After School At Home Resources

CK-12: Access free STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) lessons for students of all ages and some electronic textbooks.

Dad’s Worksheets: Get free access to math worksheets and instructional videos for elementary and middle school students! From addition and subtraction to linear equations, this site is a great resource for math practice.

Go Noodle: Get your kids up and moving with educational songs and learning concepts! Many elementary school teachers use Go Noodle videos and games in their classrooms.

GoPeer: Use the code FREE120 for 2 hours of free 1-on-1 virtual tutoring credit provided by college students at top-tier universities! Available for students between the ages of 5-18 , and can be used as four 30-minute lessons, two 1-hour lessons, or one 2-hour lesson.

Kahoot: Play free games, such as trivia or flashcards, to study and test learning. Games are available in various subjects, languages, and grade levels, and are created by Kahoot users. You can even connect with other families by starting a live game through free video tools such as Skype or Google Hangouts. 

Khan Academy: Find free lessons and interactive material for students in all grades. Resources are available for many subjects, including Math, Science and Engineering, Computing, Art and Humanities, Economics and Finance, and English Language Arts. 

 Learning A-Z: Free 90 day trial for unlimited access to Raz-Kids and/or Headsprouts, online programs created to build and improve students’ reading and literary skills. 

NASA for Students: Free K-12 educational material for STEM-loving students who love astronauts, geography, and earth science. You can filter by grade level, subject and more.

Open Culture: Free video lessons, apps, books, websites and more for K-12 students in many subjects like literature, foreign language lessons, history, and computing. 

Quizlet: Free learning tools for students, including flashcards and game modes to make learning fun and engaging. Available for subjects like Arts and Humanities, Languages, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Zearn Math: Free math lessons for K-5 students, including 400 hours of digital lessons with on-screen teachers.

Resources for English Learners

Brain Pop ELL: Free online lessons on grammar, reading and writing, and function for Level 1, 2, and 3 English Learners. 

International Children’s Digital Library: Free online children’s books from around the world in many languages including Spanish, French, Russian Arabic, Danish, Farsi and more. 

Into the Book: Fun reading activities are available in English and Spanish for bilingual learners.

Raz-Plus ELL Edition: Learning A-Z is providing a 14 day free trial of its grammar and vocabulary English Language Learner lessons. 

Resources for Special Education Needs

AAA Math: Provides free K-8 mathematics lessons that can particularly benefit students diagnosed with dyscalculia. 

Dog on a Log Books: Free and downloadable books, flashcards, and board games created by a homeschooling mom of two children, one with dyslexia.  

Starfall: Free program that teaches phonics and math through fun games and sing-alongs. They also provide printable activity lessons through their Parent-Teacher Center.

Resources for Pre-K-2nd Graders

First Up: Provides links to resources for the entire family! Find resources like fun activities for early learners, unemployment compensation information, and where to access emergency food assistance.

Fluency & Fitness: By signing up, families can receive 21 days of free unlimited access to K-2 reading and math material that combines movement and instructional time.

FunBrain: The Pre-K and Kindergarten virtual playground provides young learners with various video lessons to develop their math, literary, and problem-solving skills. More resources are provided for students up to grade 8. 

IXL: Provides interactive and fun Pre-K and Kindergarten lessons in math and language arts as well as science and social studies lessons for students up to grade 8.

PBS Learning Media: Introduces basic concepts through visual images, story telling, and suggested support material for many subjects. Sign up with PBS Kids and receive weekday newsletters offering activities and tips to play and learn at home by clicking here. 

Reading Rockets: Free reading adventure packets for young learners to get creative, use their imagination, and learn real-life lessons.   

Scholastic Learn at Home: Updated weekly, students and families have 20 days of learning activities by incorporating articles, stories, and videos. Activities can be done in any order and completed individually or in groups.
