Mission

Vision: AMY students are contributing members of a diverse community who STUDY, LEAD, and SERVE responsibly.--*We will provide rigorous, content-based instruction around grade-specific themes.-        - 6th Grade - Community, Independence, Responsibility-        - 7th Grade - Academic Focus and Stamina-        - 8th Grade - Service and Leadership-* We will work to support all children in making personal and academic growth every year.-* We will collaborate on project-based learning that is built around academic standards and works across disciplines.-* We will focus on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) with real-world application.-* We will maintain our strong Humanities curriculum.-* We will build relationships with community partners, including museums and local colleges/universities, to help students experience the world they live in.

Points Of Pride

*Student Voice and Choice- students select courses/teachers and electives yearly.-*Various Partnerships with local Universities, Museums, and Community Groups including: Philly Ad Club, Drexel University, Temple University, The Barnes Museum and Fishtown Academic Competitions.-*City and Statewide Competition Participants including, but not limited to: National History Day, Carver Science Fair and Model UN Participation.-*Student Community Advocacy- Pennies for Patients

Admissions Policy

Students must live within designated catchment boundaries; students may apply to a school(s) outside of their neighborhood and will be considered via lottery based on a available space.
