Mission

We endeavor to build children's self-esteem through a rich and caring learning environment that recognizes the unique potential of each child. Students are empowered to recognize their own value and unique learning style, and are encouraged through community service to be responsible and contributing citizens who demonstrate God's glory in the Earth.

Points Of Pride

Blair Christian Academy has a school garden right on the premises that is home to healthy fruits and vegetables for our families and surrounding community to enjoy. We encourage healthy lifestyles at BCA, and we encourage students to learn how to grow their own foods. Additionally, our students participate in archery, golf, chess, orchestra and drill team. We have five school productions each year, including Grandparents Day, a Christmas play, a Black History Month celebration, a spring show and International Night.

Admissions Policy

We have a preschool program serving those as young as 3 months, as well as an elementary and middle school serving grades kindergarten through 8th grade. Students entering grades K through 8 must take a placement test. We accept students on a rolling admissions basis as space is available.

Accreditations and Honors

The school is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), the Mid-Atlantic Association of Christian Schools, the Philadelphia Area Independent School Business Officers Association (PAISBOA), and the Philadelphia Association of Christian Schools (PACS) and the Philadelphia Association of Independent Schools. Its preschool has been awarded Keystone Stars by the Southeastern Child Care Resource Developers and the Department of Public Welfare.

Other Activities
Students have an opportunity to express their gifts through our Art and Drama Programs. Each year, BCA produces several performances. We also have produced several full length plays and are participants in the annual Association of Christian Schools International Fine Arts Festival. The Enrichment Program consists of students in 2nd through 8th grade who score above the 90th percentile on state and national standardized tests. The purpose of the Enrichment Program is to provide an opportunity for the students enrolled to enhance their problem solving skills as well as their critical thinking skills. In the past, members have built and launched rockets and planted a school garden.
