Student Achievement
Raw data measures student performance on standardized tests. Not all schools take the same standardized tests. Direct comparisons between different tests should not be made.
We draw from the Responsive Classroom model and make use of restorative practices to design a positive behavior program that is tailored to our school. Behavior infractions are taken very seriously. We pay attention to diverse needs, tell children what is expected of them, hold them accountable, help them learn from mistakes, and give them the chance to restore the balance. We work to build empathy, to combat bullying, and to avoid the "school-to-prison pipeline" effect. Our students/families report feeling very safe at FACTS, and there is always more work to be done.
How is the rating for School Incidents calculated? This rating represents the reportable incident count per 100 students. Reported suspensions and expulsions are not factored into the rating for School Incidents.
