Points Of Pride

We proudly serve Philadelphia students at our Roxborough campus. Our multi-acre outdoor learning lab features a pond, stream, and wetlands, allowing students to solve issues affecting their communities and the environment. In 2024, Green Woods Charter School was recognized as a U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School for excellence in resource efficiency, health, wellness, and sustainability education.

Green Woods Charter School students are held to a high standard and are expected to follow the school’s three main rules; Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. In addition to our three rules, Green Woods Charter School’s students follow a code of conduct with a clear disciplinary process.

Our Conflict Resolution/Peer Mediation team is made of up middle school students who are trained and take the lead in mediating disputes with younger students.
The Trailblazer Club is Green Woods Charter School’s school-wide behavior plan. The Trailblazer Club is modeled from the Principal's 200 Club, which is a school-wide positive behavior program used in various school districts.
Green Woods utilizes the Olweus Bully-Prevention Program. Backed by thirty-five years of research and successful, worldwide implementation, the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is a long-term, system-wide program for change.
Our director of school culture and counselors work collaboratively and proactively with students to identify and mitigate potential problems.
