Points Of Pride

James Logan School is one of 12 community schools in Philadelphia. James Logan School provides mentoring opportunities for all students through partnerships with PECO and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania. The school also has strong partnerships with LaSalle University, B.E.T. and Piney Grove Baptist Church. --James Logan school has a positive behavior support system called Logan Liftoff. Our students are taught to be cooperative, prepared, respectful and kind. James Logan School promotes the use of technology through SMART Boards and mobile computer labs. All of our teachers are highly qualified and committed to academic excellence.

Admissions Policy

Students must live within designated catchment boundaries; students may apply to a school(s) outside of their neighborhood and will be considered via lottery based on a available space.

Accreditations and Honors

James Logan School is one of 12 community schools in Philadelphia. The school was awarded the title of Best Practice School for Safety and Climate in 2012. James Logan School has received numerous awards for participating in the School District of Philadelphia's Technology Fair.
