We strive to accomplish this by building our community together, learning through inquiry, valuing integrity, and celebrating learning.
Points Of Pride
Kensington Health Sciences Academy is a high school that is located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. We are proud of the four majors we have at our school: Health Related Technology, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Technology, and Global Leadership. We have 450 students, 30 teachers, and 3 counselors. We have three AP classes (AP Government, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP Art), 19 clubs, 15 sports, and a celebration of some sort almost every week. We also have an incredible college resource center called 12Plus.
KHSA is a community school. A community school is a school that believes in the power of working with the resources that already exist in the community. We are one of 12 community schools in the city of Philadelphia, named by Mayor Jim Kenney. Our community school coordinator, Mr. Antonio Romero, works very hard to make sure our school to bring partners and resources to our school that provide students with incredible learning opportunities.
