KIPP West Philadelphia Elementary Academy
Mission
To cultivate the intellect, character, skills and habits of our students so that they can become empowered leaders who choose their own futures while leaving the world better than they found it.Points Of Pride
We combine rigorous academics with a strong focus on providing a well-rounded education. By having school hours from 7:40 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., students have time for over three hours of literacy, 90 minutes of math and daily science/social studies. At the same time, we have a focus on character-building and enrichment opportunities like art and music. Students also have daily recess, and kindergarten students take a nap. By the end of kindergarten, over 75 percent of students are reading on grade level. Saturday morning sessions four times a year provide a chance for students, staff and families to come together for hands-on projects and performances.
Admissions Policy

The school’s enrollment policy gives priority to the following groups in this order: Parent is staff member or founder, Sibling attending; Sibling accepted offer, Lives in PhiladelphiaAccreditations and Honors
