Student Achievement
Raw data measures student performance on standardized tests. Not all schools take the same standardized tests. Direct comparisons between different tests should not be made.
We believe that all children are capable of achieving high levels of success. A scholar is most successful when cooperative strategies are implemented between school and home. Parents and families are an integral part of the learning process and a scholar's success.---We believe that a safe and nurturing environment is essential to scholar learning. All members of the school community deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We support all scholars regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, class, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. We believe that all scholars have unique qualities that contribute to a positive learning environment. As scholars of a Renaissance School, all scholars of LACS are expected to abide by both the LAC's Expectations for Student Behavior and the School District of Philadelphia's Code of Student Conduct. The School District of Philadelphia's Code of Conduct can be located at -https://www.phila.k12.pa.us/offices/administration/policies/CodeofConduct.pdf.---Any failure to adhere to any particular code of conduct or disciplinary policy or procedure of the District in this Family Guidebook shall not excuse the behavior in question, or absolve the scholar from appropriate consequences in accordance with District policy. In the event that culpability is established after an investigation and hearing before the Disciplinary Committee of the Board of Trustees a long-term suspension or expulsion may be warranted. How is the rating for School Incidents calculated? This rating represents the reportable incident count per 100 students. Reported suspensions and expulsions are not factored into the rating for School Incidents.
