Mission

The mission of MACS is to educate the whole child by providing a safe environment with strict discipline in which students can learn and teachers can instruct while emphasizing the importance of parental involvement in the educational process.--The vision of our school is to effect positive change in a multicultural society by developing well-rounded, highly educated, thoughtful individuals who embody the core values of MACS.

Points Of Pride

For over a decade, 100 percent of our seniors have been accepted to post-secondary educational institutions, many with full or partial scholarships. The class of 2020, with a total of 43 students, collectively earned nearly $3 million in college scholarship offers!

Our largest classes have 25 students, and most have far fewer.

Our Arts program is one of our greatest points of pride. Our eclectic Music program (Rock, R&B, Pop) puts on 2 concerts per year; our amazing Drama program puts on 2 shows a year, including a Spring Musical.

Our ESD and enrichment classes help students make up skill gaps in math and reading.

All students are required to perform 20 hours of community service per year, and many students exceed this total.

Admissions Policy

Interested students must submit an application through Apply Philly Charter (applyphillycharter.org) before the application deadline. If there are more applications than seats available, a random lottery will be held.

Accreditations and Honors

For 2 straight years we have been recognized as a Title I Distinguished School by the PA Department of Education, placing our performance in the top 5% of all Title I schools statewide!
