Mission

The mission of NFCS is to provide students with the academic, social and emotional foundations and skills necessary to become high-achieving, socially competent stewards of their communities. The founders of NFCS will ensure a commitment to lifelong learning and achievement for all our students by creating an atmosphere of caring that pervades every aspect of school life and promotes attachment to and responsibility for all members of our school community.

Points Of Pride

• New Foundations High School was named one of Philadelphia Magazine's 40 Top-Rated Public High Schools in Philadelphia and the Suburbs based on graduation rates, student performance, and other statistical measure.
• New Foundations robotics team has qualified for states every year in its existence. Some awards include: Sportsmanship Award, Inspire Award & Judges Award.
• New Foundations music department hosts two concerts each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. These include modern bands, rock bands, concert bands, jazz bands & choir. The Henchmen (Rock Band) have performed at local high schools as well, and networked with music industry professionals. There is a Spring Musical every year.
• 14 students traveled to Costa Rica in July 2024, where they fully embraced the culture, food, and wildlife experience. In summer 2025, students will have the opportunity to travel to Italy and Greece.

Admissions Policy

NFCS runs on a public lottery system. An application must be completed online through Apply Philly Charter by the deadline. For more information, please see the Admissions page of our website.
