Mission

Sankofa Freedom Academy is a college-preparatory community-based K-12 freedom school that strives to increase literacy and numeracy levels throughout the community and promote respect for scholarship; servant leadership; conflict resolution; and personal, social and environmental responsibility.--SFA engenders in its students, staff and community a love for learning, respect for scholarship, pride in heritage and a commitment to personal and societal transformation.

Points Of Pride

1. 100 percent college acceptance class of 2013, 97 percent college acceptance class of 2014-2. 80 percent of class of 2013 successfully completed their freshman year in college.-3. International service projects in Ecuador, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, the Gambia and Ethiopia-4. 6-week social action internships for seniors

Admissions Policy

Any interested parent or student may apply; a lottery will be held if more applications are received than available spaces.
