Mission
The MCSCS mission is to provide a quality education to students and to graduate students prepared to enter college, vocational training and today's work force. We offer an advanced curriculum for 1st through 12th grade, in a class size of 20 students with a highly qualified team of certified teachers.Points Of Pride
Admissions Policy
Admission is open to all eligible students who are residents within the limits of the City of Philadelphia in grades 1 through 12. Interested parents must submit the general application. A lottery will be held in mid-June with preference for siblings of current students. High school students must possess sufficient course credits to enter the grade for which they are applying.Accreditations and Honors
Received recent authorization for Advance Placement course. The Mighty Elephants, MCSCS boys varsity basketball team is the 2014 Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Class "A" State finalists. The Mighty Elephants, won the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Class A State Championship in 2011. The team also won Division E for three consecutive years. MCSCS students won the team and individual championship in the 2013 DeVry University Elite Math Competition. Our Accounting students won 1st place out of 163 Pennsylvania schools competing in a Stock Market Game. Our Law students received several certificates for participating in the Mock Trial Competition.Hours of Operation
