Mariana Bracetti Academy maintains a safe and secure environment for all students, staff and visitors. - MBA is equipped with a state-of-the-art surveillance system to monitor both the inside and outside of our building. - Students participate in a merit and demerit system where students earn merits for exemplary behavior and demerits for policy violations. Students earning merits have a chance to redeem them for incentives quarterly. This effective system ensures a safe school environment where learning is a priority. - We work very closely with SEPTA, PPD and our community stakeholders to ensure a safe environment during transit to and from school. - Students at Mariana Bracetti have accepted Rachel's Challenge, a student-led initiative to create a safe learning environment for all students by using hearts, heads and hands to effect positive, permanent change. - Staff members attend the Safe Schools Summit every year to enhance our system of school safety.
