Early Childhood Education Pathway-Students are eligible to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential at the end of their 12th grade year. 3. Articulation with Community College of Philadelphia that provides nine college credits and opportunity for further study. 4. A partnership with 1199C provides students with the opportunity to participate in their Apprenticeship in ECE program, a CDA to Associate's Degree program that is an employer partnership in which apprentices work while earning credits. 5. Must have A's and B's, with the possible exception of one C on 7th-grade final report card in the major subjects (Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies). Must score at least the 70th percentile on 7th-grade PSSA in Reading and Math (ELA: 1012; Math: 933). Must have excellent attendance and punctuality. Must have behavior ratings of 1 and 2 each of the four reporting periods on the 7th-grade report card and the first reporting period on the 8th-grade report card. Must have no documented Level II SDP Code of Conduct violations or out-of-school suspensions during the preceding two academic years. Must submit positive letters of recommendation from a 7th/8th-grade major subject teacher and the principal or counselor of the elementary/middle school you currently attend. Must complete an interview (by invitation only). An interest in Early Childhood Education college/career pathway is preferred but not required.
