The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) prepares students to be college and career ready by providing a rigorous academic and creative experience that allows variously talented students to deeply explore artistic skill sets and scholarly disciplines in a diverse, inclusive, safe and antiracist environment.

Admissions Policy
Students must meet specific grades (A's, B's with one C) and attendance marks (90%). 50th percentile for both ELA & Math PSSA scores. After these requirements are met then CAPA will notify applicants of auditions. Students must successfully pass auditions to be put in the lottery.
Accreditations and Honors
CAPA named as one of the "Top City Schools in 2011 and again in 2020 " by Philadelphia Magazine; one of the SDP high schools to be named on the "Best High Schools in Pennsylvania" list by U.S. News and World Report. Named as one of the top-rated schools in the state. Award winning staff with many staff being named Lindback Award recipients. Our school is Middles States Accredited.
